    Any Wyoming rotary aircraft?

  • #2
I'm not from Wyoming but I flew my rotary Long-EZ over Wyoming in two round trips to Kansas from Oregon, in 2005 and 2006. I didn't want to land in Wyoming because of concerns about density altitude, so made gas stops in Utah and Nebraska.

There is a rotary rv6 in Laramie Klar elevation 7263’. Flying club c172n 160hp flies out of there fully loaded summer time 80- 90 degrees.

I agree those aircraft would not have issues. My Long-EZ has 80 knot takeoff and landing speeds, it is a runway hog. Wyoming does have nice long runways!
