Hydrogen Powered Rotary Engines

Hydrogen is a multi-purpose fuel. It can be used in rocket engines, rotary engines, or produce electricity in fuel cells. But it is difficult to come by and store. I thought if it could be produced by solar energy, it could be a form of battery to store energy, until it is used later by a fuel cell etc., of course using oxygen from the atmosphere.
