  • Looking for a test prop

    Looking for a test prop

I am looking for a test prop (CCW rotation) to use on a Tracy Crooks PSRU / 13b engine.
Any thing I can borrow or rent for a month.
Does not have to be airworthy.

Does anyone have data and photos for the coaxial muffler design published on the old rotary engine.net website?
I would like to incorporate that design in my aircraft project.

  • Turbo Compounding the Rotary

    Turbo Compounding the Rotary

TURBO COMPOUNDING THE ROTARY Range is important to me. Having the range to turn back has saved my butt more than once when on a long cross country's over remote areas of Canada, Alaska and Baja. A high performance airplane with a small thin wing has a real problem with fuel volume. I don't think I would be happy with a Questair Venture if I had to stop every 400 or 500 miles. Short range also cuts into long trip times and limits your weather options making the airplane slightly less safe. Almost...

The V22 tilt rotor Osprey is in the news.

This class of aircraft has a bright future. Man has dreamed of taking off from his back yard and flying someplace at high speed for a long time. Tilt rotor VTOL has made that dream come true. In my opinion the tilt rotor will replace the helicopter and take some conventional aircraft sales. This will be due to a higher cruise speed at a the same...

    How the Wankel Works

Rev. 3 copyright 2007-2010 by Paul Lamar, Dave Mix and Mark LaPierre The Wankel rotary consists of a three sided rotor moving in a modified oval chamber or rotor housing. The shape of the chamber is a mathematical construction called an epitrochoid. These curves were studied by Durer (1525), Desargues (1640), Huygens (1679), Leibniz, Newton (1686), L'Hospital (1690), Jakob Bernoulli (1690), la Hire (1694), Johann Bernoulli (1695), Daniel Bernoulli (1725), Euler ...
